Here are some thoughts from attendee's of our 40th Reunion

"Well, mi amiga.  The party's over, but I wanted to thank you for being such an angel and doing all the work involved.  Doris had a really good time, me too.

I had such a GREAT TIME!!.  Better than I ever expected.  So many memories to relive, and you're right, there was not enough time to talk in depth.  It's good to see those that were there and it makes you remember those that are gone and wonder about those that don't want to see their classmates again.   Those must be really unhappy about life and they are the ones that maybe should re-connect with lighter, happier days."

To whom may read this.
I just wanted to tell someone what a great time that I had an Saturday Night.
I was able to reconnect with people that I had not seen in 40 years.
It was truly a thrill.
Could someone please give me Doris Leuchau's phone number.
I left it sitting on the table, an oversight on my part.
Thanks,

Steve Schuermann  (Class of '65)

I just want to tell you what a wonderful time I had at your reunion Saturday night.  Reconnecting with people from Jennings after all these years is indescribable!!   Overwhelming!!   I can hardly wait for our reunion next year.

You did a tremendous job to have such a successful reunion.  And I'm just getting into it to know how much work your committee had to do to pull it off.  Of course, Class of '65 was there to "steal" ideas since we haven't gotten together for thirty years.

Well done!!  And thanks for the 'baby moon'.

What can I say...you guys did it again. What a great night, a beautiful facility, and a better than expected turn out. I'm impressed. I too am disappointed about the class photo,..

..but if that is the worse thing that happened, or didn't happen, then it was a huge success. Sorry Doris,I don't have an extra copy of any books now. I brought all I had, and they are all gone as well. It was so nice to see Larry Stone, Judy Barone, Elaine Syrett, Doris Sutherland, and of course the "B" People.. how neat was that? I also make a motion, (Honorary members or not) that we not invite the Newsoms back ever again... those people make me look old!......Just kidding.

Three Cheers for the Reunion Committee!

I want to thank all of you for organizing the reunion. It was a wonderful party! Those of us that live out of town got to enjoy all the benefits of your hard work. It was fun to see everyone and get a chance to catch up on their lives. But it seems like one night is so short to visit with everyone. You did a great job finding the hotel and keeping after people until we had enough to make the night happen. I only wish that more people had responded and had been there to enjoy it with us. I, for one, am looking forward to the next reunion.

Thank you,

Dona (Flory) Haltiwanger

I loved getting the pics and the comments...wish I could have come.  Please help me out with names under those pictures. I definitely recognize the faces but the names escape me.

Thanks,

Hi classmates,   I, too,  want to say a big "Thank You" to the committee for a wonderful time reunion weekend.  Thanks for ordering such beautiful weather, and the hotel and party rooms were great.  I hope our next reunion is there, also.  It was a great time visiting with everyone, catching up on news, and hearing the stories about different teachers, and  school fun and foolery.  Thanks for making my husband, Mike feel so welcome- he wishes he'd gone to Jennings!   We really had a great time.  Just think- we've been out of high school 40 years- the same amount of time the Isealites wandered around in the desert trying to find the Promised Land.  Did you know that if they'd followed the Lord's  orders, they'd have only walked for 12 days?  If you are trying to figure out what the two things have in common-there is only one answer- 40 years!   Thank you again for a wonderful party.  Hope to see you soon- maybe 5 years from now.  God bless and take care of yourself and someone you love.

Kudos to all the people who worked on the reunion.  It was great to see everyone again and to know that so many of us have been fortunate enough to have lived relatively long and seemingly productive lives.

I was very happy to see Mr. Newsom at the 40th class reunion.  I asked him what the best thing he liked about the class of 1964 and he said the 1964 class made him feel like a teacher, we wanted to learn!

Thank you, Mr. Newsom.
